Tamar, the owner of Costume Boutique has been working in the film industry for many years as a Costume Designer and Stylist on Commercials, TV and Film. Her involvement in the film industry has given her the knowledge and experience to take on special costume making requests when possible.
Costume Boutique will sometimes undertake commissions and provide a Bespoke Costume Making Service. A free quote can be provided. This service includes providing design ideas and inspirations shown through sketches, mood boards and fabric sampling. Pattern cutting and fittings can also be included in the quote.
Make to Hire is an option that we sometimes offer for those who would prefer to pay less for a bespoke costume and not actually keep it. The deal is that we then charge a Hire fee instead of the full Sale price. We are only happy to consider this option with costumes that we feel may be popular for us to hire out again.
We also sometimes offer a Bespoke Costume Styling service that is great for clients who need help with piecing a costume together due to time restraints etc. If we haven’t got the desired costume in our stock we can spend time sourcing and perhaps adapting our own costumes to create unique outfits for your occasion or event. Costs include a one off special Styling fee and Hire or Sale of completed costumes. These services can be offered to the individual customer who wants something unique for their party and equally to stylists, events agencies, commercials and TV companies.
Ideally the lead time required on ALL special costume services is four to six weeks depending on how busy we are.
Please note that whilst we do consider most requests, we do not undertake the making of MASCOT costumes.
